new COVERED deck!

z and my dear uncle david have been working hard on building a cover for our deck... its not completely finished and there is a little cleaning up and re decorating to do... but here is the work in progress. so thankful for all their hard work and can't wait to enjoy the benefits of being outside this spring and summer. i love it.

kite festival

porter and i met some friends today at the kite festival... so fun. it was a gorgeous day and p loved seeing all the crazy stuff flying in the sky. i didn't take my camera -- sometimes you just have to soak something up and not worry about taking a million photos.

these are all from this morning before we went. one of our friends who also loves photography let me borrow his fancy lens for a couple days to try it out. of course now i really feel like i need an upgrade ...


this is what p looks like when its time for a nap - everytime. he hold his monkey and sucks his thumb and looks at you with this 'i want my bed' look. so sweet.
